Tips for Home-Buyers

It may surprise you, but unlike other real estate agents, we recommend that you take your time when buying a home. It’s important to know the pros and cons of each property to make sure it is a good fit for you. For example, homes in the mountain community of Avalon have city water, which means you won’t have to worry about digging a well or putting in a pump. That may or may not be a deal-breaker for you, but it’s good to know.

We also recommend that if you are going to build a house, choose a flat surface to build on. We’ve seen buyers put a lot of money into a foundation built on a hill. While sometimes that is unavoidable, you can save yourself some cash by choosing a flat surface and not having to worry about leveling the land out.
